Hope everyone is having a blessed Sunday and thank you for stopping by my Christian Addiction Help Pasco County blog. Pasco County, there is a great opportunity as a community can do to help being up everyone's awareness about drugs, alcohol, and addictions. This blog, I want to give you information about Red Ribbon Week. This is a week that is dedicated to DEA Agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena and loosing his life to busting a huge drug cartel in 1985. In 1988, Red Ribbon Week was formed to help bring up everyone's awareness on drugs and alcohol and how they can affect people as well as to promote drug treatment to individuals who have a drug or alcohol addiction. RRW (red ribbon week) is the last week in October and Pasco County can make a difference this year. This is a great time to bring up drugs and alcohol abuse to your children and give them the knowledge of this topic. This is a way to bring up awareness. This year's theme is "Step it up: A Call to Action." Let's do all we can to help halt and stop teen drug use as well as adults who are trapped in an addiction. How can you make a difference this year? The red ribbon coalition has a red ribbon training manual that help guide you plan your local event. Make sure to schedule your event to help bring up the awareness of substance abuse so people will seek some type of treatment. It's time to answer the call to action and whether if its your neighbor or your close loved one who has an addiction, take that step and seek help for them. Let's set a record to the number of lives we safe this year by supporting red ribbon week and together we can make a difference! I hope everyone has a blessed day and thank you for stopping by to read my Christian Addiction Help Pasco County blog! All RRW information was found at www.redribboncoalition.com. Also visit their website for our RRW training manual.
