Christian Addiction Help Pasco County

Today, I want to see if this makes sense to you...if you know someone who is addicted to drugs or alcohol would you advise them to take a different drug to overcome addiction?  Makes no sense does it?

 This is what a lot of professionals do, they prescribe other drugs to treat a drug problem.  This is not effective rehabilitation.  Let's take methadone as an example...many are prescribed this drug to overcome opiate addiction, specifically heroin.  The true occurence is the professionals are giving one drug to cover up another drug and after it's all over, the addict has a new addiction, but this time to methadone.  I do not see how that is effective addiction treatment when a full holistic rehabilitation program can provide the real solution to overcome an addiction. 

This practice can be related to every day life...you are on a diet and want to loose weight.  What is the best effective method?  I would think exercise and portion control to lower your intake of colories...makes sense?  What is not effective to loose weight is to buy fast food combo meal that has 900 colories and order a large Diet Coke.  Is this lowering your intake of calories...no.  This is the same viewpoint to addiction, let's cover up the heroin symptoms by giving methadone and in the end the person is still addicted but to another drug. 

If you want true rehabilitation, make the call today.  Drug rehab programs that do not use drugs to solve a drug problem are the types of rehab you want your loved one to complete.  Don't let someone tell you your son/daughter has a mental situation and prescribe Xanax or any other drug, becuase an addicted behavior will be abnormal and the answer is NOT to take another drug.  The end result is to fully come off any type of subtance abuse and let the body be normal again.  My friends this is the answer to effective rehabilitation and it starts with you making that call to find help for your son or daughter.
