I hope each one of you are having a great weekend and thank you for talking time to read my blog. Last entry, I mentioned giving the gift of life this holiday season and that is what I'm going to do for you. Give you invaluable information on how to talk to your kids about drugs and you can turn around and educate them on this information so they will be aware and taught the truth about drugs. I remember growing up as a child, my mother was very interested in me staying healthy and drug-free. Drugs were never in our family and it is because my mother and I were always in communication on any problems I encountered growing up and even though it is a small thing, we actually would set down at the dinner table almost every night of the week. Now days, we live in a "fast and quick" mentality that there is no real time spent with family, especially at the dinner table. By creating this atmosphere, it opens up time for discussion and most important it can give parents a way to discuss issues related to drugs and alcohol.
Every governmental agency is always telling us to communicate with our children and give them the information they need to understand what drugs and alcohol can do to them as a child and it is only right and ethical that as parents, we deliver this information to our loved ones. Take time today and set down with your children and loved ones and give them the best information you can ever relay, the truth about drugs. Until next time, have a blessed day.
