Welcome to another entry of the Christian Addiction Help Pasco County News and Information blog.  I left you a thought in my last blog about how does advertising affect our children and their potential drug use.  Before I get into today's discussion did you read the story about Pasco County's former deputy plead guilty to drug crimes?  The story mentions he was distributing hydrocodone.  If you have not read the entire story, check out tampabay.com.  The thought comes to my mind that if that individual gave up his honor in the community's eyes, we all need to reach out a hand to help someone overcome an addiction.  This is a war we are fighting and even though there are always horrific news related to drug and alcohol use, there is an answer to break the chains of addiction.

I did get off topic, but in closing advertising is all around us.  We are used to seeing and hearing 1,000s of ads a day and with that much repetition we receive messages which sometimes are not positive.  This is the battle within our teens as parents says not to use drugs, alcohol, or tabacco and on the other hand the ads are making those very items look appealing to our youth.  On my next blog, we will do futher into this discussion on how ads do contribute to the battle of teen drug use.  Have a blessed day and thank you for reading the Christian Addiction Help Pasco County News and Information blog.
