Hello everyone and I hope each of you are having a blessed day and thank you for reading my Christian Addiction Help Pasco County News and Information blog.  Instead of looking at news I want to further our discussion of advertising and how it can affect our children.  We all can raise our hands and say that growing up is hard enough than to deal with the social ills in America.  One sector that puts pressure on our children is advertising. 

Think about this...parents brings up the subject that cigarettes and alcohol are not good for you and we suggest to our children that it is not good to try or start using these items.  The child remembers that their parents say that using tabacco and alcohol are not good.  Now, when our children watch television they see advertising and commercials that contradict the parents' teaching by portraying that smoking and drinking alcohol makes you look cool and get all the women/men.  Now, the child has two sides to battle within their mind.  When there is this much confusion, especially as a child, it will be hard to determine what is right. 

I say that to lead to my final statement of the day.  It takes more than just telling our children not to use alcohol or drugs, but we must give them a reason why instead of "because I said so."  This blog will go into detail to give you why it is not good to use drugs or alcohol and as parents we need to give the true knowledge so our children can understand the why. 

Overall, our children and adults are struggling with a drug or alcohol addiction and we can make a difference whether we live in Pasco County, Florida or Pasco County, Washington.  There is a huge problem with drug abuse and the only way to stop it is to educate and find help.  Push yourself to find help for your loved one today and let's save that precious life that we love!  Have a blessed day and thank you for taking time to read my Christian Addiction Help Pasco County News and Information blog.
