Today, children are flooded with false information about drugs. They have to confront peer pressure to try drugs as well as various media influences pushing drug use. Since we live in an "instant gratification" world, individuals are looking for a quick fix and this is exactly the message media terminals are sending to our children. It as we are looking for the easy way out with less effort and that hard work is not a desirable as it was before. If you have no desire, then an individual's ambition will lessen and the "game of life" will not want to be played.
I say that to lead to the statement that this type of perception and behavior in life will lead to drug use. Drugs and alcohol are used as an escape not only from boredom but any unwanted feelings that someone might experience. They are a quick-fix to one's problems in life. By giving someone the truth about drugs, then they will have the knowledge and information as well as the ability to say no.
