As you know America is illed with the cycle of addiction as over 18 million Americans are suffering with some type of addiction. As Tampa Bay.com released a story about the home invasion suspect and of course the mention of drugs are within the story. I read where the individual actually stole prescription drugs from an elderly woman's home. An addiction to drugs or alcohol will literally destroy a community and addiction help is needed! Therefore, if you know someone who is fighting a drug or alcohol addiction then make that call and find help for your loved one. It's time we take a stand against illicit drug use and help rehabilitate these individuals who are crying for help.
As you can tell, I got off track with my discussion and jumped on the tangent that we need to stand together against illicit drug abuse and make a change in our community. Next blog, I will stay on track and begin the discussion how we can help impede teen drug use and answer the question how do I talk to my kids about drugs.
