Christian Addiction Help Pasco County - Prescription Part 2

Happy Easter everyone and thank you for stopping by to read my Christian Addiction Help Pasco County blog.  Today, I am a little upset and the reason why I'm upset is because we as Americans need to refocus on the real why our society is doing so poor.  The unemployment rate is almost 10% nation wide, people cannot pay their bills, and all kinds of events are happening.  I see all of the stories about the tea parties that are supposed to happen this week along with the blame and name calling incidents with the current issues going on around the world and people are blinded to the reality of these situations.

Listen people, I have an article in my hand from the North Platte Bulletin and the very first line of this story says, "Many people ages 11 to 18 routinely take pills such as Vicdoin, Percocet, Xanax, Klonopin, Adderal, Concerta, Ritalin or generic knockoffs of the same.  The drugs are stolen from medicine cabins, parents' or grandparents' medicine cabinets, or from a friend's house, or even bought off the Internet."  The article also states a comment from a teen that uses prescription drugs during an interview with the Bulletin, "Taking prescription drugs makes you feel 'chill' and nothing worries you."  I will continue quoting, "...12 to 14 percent of high school students said they have abused prescription drugs.  The same survey found more than 3 percent of sixth graders abused the drugs, and more than 5 percent of eight graders."

We want to worry about tea parties and playing the blame game when studies directly show that 6th graders are getting high from drugs that are from the parents.  Where is the blame here?  Do we not want to look in our own back yard and face the reality that our sixth graders are getting high right under our face?  Where is the responsibility?  Where is the social change that people want to create less teen drug abuse?  Listen; call me what you want, but the blame game is in our own homes.  We have to raise the education folks and start with parents knowing and understanding the truth about drugs.  When I read a story that an 11 year old is going to a "pharm party" what is the real situation we need to confront?

If we want to create change in this world and stop this social ill of drug and alcohol abuse, it starts with you.  It starts in our homes and parents educating our children.  That is how we create change by implementing your own ethical systems to provide a way for our youth to grow up drug-free and not having an addiction by the age of 16.  It starts with you reading this entry to take the responsibility to find help for your family member who is stealing from you to buy more drugs.  It's time to stop covering your eyes and see that your loved one will eventually die due to drug abuse.  Drug abuse will lead to either life in prison and or death and that is all.

Now, even though I gave the hard truth to this situation we are facing, there is hope.  I have had many friends go through addiction treatment and they are drug-free today.  They are helping other people become drug-free and treatment can help your loved one.  Spring is here and that calls for new beginnings.  Let's start off by making that phone call to seek help.  There are many people that are willing to help you and I'm one of them.  I pour my heart into my blog entries because I care and I don't want anyone to walk around blinded because of drugs.  Life is amazing and everyone deserves a chance!  Have a blessed day and thank you for the continued support for my Christian Addiction Help Pasco County blog.
